Description/Condition/Flaws/Noted Discrepancies and any additional info that may (or may not) be useful is provided below.
1. This item is listed as Used or Pre-Owned, please expect normal wear from use.
2. Auction is for all items in the first photo. The dolls are marked “Ideal Doll” on the head and the back. Both dolls have some type of contraption inside (maybe it used to make a sound?) but neither are operational. I did not wash any of the clothing, I didn’t want to ruin the cloths. I do not know if they are original to the dolls, they were the cloths that were on the dolls when I unpacked them from the box they were calling home. Both dolls stand 22 inches tall, and when you move the feet, the head turns left and right. Each outfit consists of 3 pieces.
3. Doll 1 (first photo left side): Hair is clipped with a barrette and the center has detached from the rest. The hair is there, it is just no longer attached at the scalp or the netting underneath, Her body is cracked on the back side, under the bum and at the shoulder. They eyes roll when she lays and open when she stands, but not consistently….and they kinda ‘wobble’ a bit. There are marks and scrapes throughout the body as expected from being loved. She had the red dress with apron and pantaloons. The elastic in the red dress is no longer elastic. There is no tag, and the dress and other fabric items are dirty and have stains throughout. I am not secure enough in my washing abilities, so they are offered as found.
4. Doll 2 (right side, no arms): She is a little more ‘peach/skin tone’ colored than doll 1, and she seems to be a touch slimmer in the belly. Maybe the dolls are from different years? She has a one of her eyes missing, and the back of the eye socket is blue, so it might be difficult to tell. Her eyes close when she lays down, and open when she stands. There are eyelashes also. Her arms are included, however they have scrapes and scratches. The right arm, the index finger looks like it has been ‘burnt’ but just; it may be repairable? This doll was dressed in the blue dress and the bow on the dress matches the bow in her hair, which would allude to an original outfit, but I cannot be sure. There is a dress, a slip and some pantaloons. The elastic is no longer elastic-y and there are stains throughout. Again, they would probably be in worse condition if I washed them, so they are listed as found. The blue dress has a tag, and I have provided a photograph of the tag.
5. I am listing for a friend, who was going to toss these beauties in the garbage. This is not niche, so I did not clean any of the dolls or cloths, I am listing as found. I also only had 12 photos, so if you need additional photos, just let me know what you need to see.
6. I do not know the history of these girls, other than they were picked up at an estate sale approx 5 years ago in a box full of dolls, and were presented to some grandkiddos to play with. Upon presentation, my friend was informed “these dolls are creepy” and in the box they stayed.
